Shadowlands is located on the top half of the original Heart of Darkness field.  This is a wet field that isn’t played that frequently, unless it hasn’t rained for at least a week. Regardless I would wear boots for playing this one.

For this map, the smaller the player the better.  A smaller target can move through the underbrush easier.  With that said, if you are a big guy on this field, you may have trouble with any path you choose.  For instance, I am 6’6″ and never go to the power-lines side as it is thick with rhododendron and I just can’t get through it.

Positive points about this paintball field are that it is very close to the picnic area, it is tons of fun in a dry spell, and personal speed is next to useless.   This map is also instrumental in a few of our scenario games - Stalingrad, Battle of Berlin, and Battle of Britan – as the front line of base defense for whichever team is stationed in the new HOD or Heart of Darkness base.
